FACTS Family Portal
FACTS is the school's online parent account. Use it to see grades, report cards, attendance and homework, to report an absence, and to message your child's teacher. The free SLA school app shows the same information on your phone.
Attendance & Policies
Report absences or late arrivals promptly to ensure student safety. Learn about our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) framework and student conduct expectations.
Reporting an absence
- Call the school office at (902) 835-8548 (leave a voicemail if no answer), or email the school office at office@sandylakeacademy.ca.
- Include your name, the student's name (please spell the last name), the date(s) of absence and the reason.
- Report same-day absences by 8:25 AM.
For planned extended absences, contact the principal and teachers at least one week in advance.

Campus Programs & Facilities
Sandy Lake Academy offers supervised after-school care for elementary families and makes its gymnasium and grounds available to the wider community. Registration forms and rental agreements are in the Forms & Registration group above.

After-School Care Program
Supervised after-school care is provided daily for elementary students, featuring structured homework time, recreational play, and snacks.
Gymnasium & Facility Rental
Our regulation gymnasium and campus grounds are available for community sports organizations and events under our official rental policy.
